Wisconsin

WisconsinWisconsin and Canada share a vital trade relationship with trade in products as varied as paper, transportation equipment and biologics.

Wisconsin, with a population of just over 5.5 million, has been a member of the the Canadian Trade Office of the Conference of Great Lakes & St. Lawrence Governors and Premiers since 1990. Our office has assisted Wisconsin companies in many industry sectors including; processed food, metal finishing equipment, retail hardware, transportation parts, artificial insemination supplies, information technology and biologics.

In addition to strong agriculture, biotech and transportation sectors tourism plays a big role in the two economies. Wisconsin offers a great deal for tourists including great outdoors destinations and innovative and exciting galleries, restaurants and museums in metropolitan areas such as the capital Madison, the state’s largest city Milwaukee and football Mecca Green Bay. Architecturally the state has been strongly influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright who hailed from the state and practiced there.
